Posted 21 Mar 2020 · Report post Hello all, recently bought an XC70 2015 diesel 4 cylinders. My EGR valve has today rendered un-operational. Opened the egr, cleaned it and the valve seems to be free to move, but the small motor is very stiff. I know that there has been a recall on my model of car manufactured from 2014-2017. I am unable to find any information on that mater or if my car has been already through the recall. I’m trying to put the vin in many Volvo search websites but comes back with “incorrect vin”. The car has been bought from Sweden.Ive looked online and a new EGR valve part number is 36012436, supposedly replacing this one 31293727. However I am unaware what has changed as nobody seems to tell. In addition, to add to the confusion, the part installed on the car is 31422119 which does not appear on any VIDA system.Also everybody having this egr issue on this car makes think I’ve made a huge mistake with the purchase.Maybe some people can help with some information.
